Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl

I do love a good smoothie for breakfast.  Quick, easy and full of nutrition - perfect for those busy mornings when you’re running out of the door with 10 bags, 3 kids and a “To Do” list as long as your left leg.  But sometimes it’s nice to sit down for 5 minutes and savour some ‘chewable’ food. This one is a good combo of both!

Serves 1


Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl 2

½ cup roasted, cooled pumpkin

⅓ cup coconut yogurt

2 scoops vegan vanilla flavoured protein powder **

½ tsp cinnamon

Toasted pepitas to garnish



  1. Place all ingredients except the pepitas and place in a food processor bowl
  2. Whizz until smooth
  3. Transfer into a bowl, garnish with pepitas and enjoy

Tip: If you ever have a spare shelf when using the oven, throw in a tray of chopped pumpkin tossed in coconut oil and a pinch of salt.  Cool it on the bench and then store in the fridge for a couple of days.
